The eXtreme Tour 2015
Well it’s that time again. If you’ve been my Facebook friend for long you know that I am a musician and the last two summers I have toured with a group called The Extreme Tour. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to travel the East Coast with them again this summer!
I have been playing music since I was a little kid. I remember writing my first song at age 13. It was through music that I finally understood the unconditional love of my Savior. Music became more than just a passion, I realized it was a calling. Music reaches people on a level that words simply can not. It’s a universal language with no barriers and I found it the best way to communicate God’s love and to tell my story.
The Extreme Tour has been around for much longer than I have been playing music. When we travel we sleep in churches or host homes and are blessed by them as we come into their towns. We set up a fun concert, but we’re there to build relationships. We’re there to show love to people, especially those who feel they’re unloveable.
As you can probably tell, this isn’t a typical music tour. I’m not getting paid to play in venues, but rather volunteering to play for free in order to reach a larger audience. I do get to sell cd’s while I’m on the road but, mostly I’m taking a leap of faith. I ask for support from those who believe in what I do. I will basically be living as a traveling troubadour for 6 weeks. That means I won’t be getting a paycheck to take care of some basic needs I may have. Although most food and lodging is taken care of by the cities that bring us in I do have some personal needs that I’m relying on fundraising to take care of. These include:
Food on travel and off days.
and other miscellaneous surprises (toll booths, car troubles, medical situations, etc.)
I know it’s not easy to give money away so I’ve also got a fun little deal for you guys. I make these awesome little message in a bottle necklaces with my favorite verse inside.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never fails.
I can put these on a silver or bronze chain or dark brown leather. The chain measures at 24”
For any donation over $50 I will hand make and send one of these necklaces as a thank you gift for your love and support.
Thank you so much for being my friend and following my music. And thank you in advance for your support. I am confident that God is faithful and that He loves his children. I’m so excited to share this great news on tour this summer!
With Love, Katie Ainge
